Pamphlets and Food Samples on February 16

If you like free samples, stop by the Quiet Study Room on Monday, February 16 after 4:30 p.m. for some delicious taco soup, supplied by the County Extension Office. There will be information about low-cost, nutritious meal planning presented by Owen County Farm Bureau, Inc.

We hope to see you there!

Library Voices Book Club

The January meeting was cancelled due to snow, snow, and more snow. We are going to try it again on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. We will discuss Vicki Myron's Dewey--we'll have our tea and library cat discussion no matter how much Mother Nature wants to discourage us!

There will be many more new books and great library chats in the future, so sign up for the book club. The book club list and lots more information about adult programs are in the notebook at the main circulation desk.

Indiana Ghostbusters Fun for Everyone

Everyone who came to the Indiana Paranormal Scientific Investigators at the Owen County Public Library on Oct. 11, 2008, had a great time watching their presentation, and seeing the high-tech equipment they use in their investigations.

I-SPI discussed the reported hauntings and manifestations at The Crump Theatre, the Guyer Opera House, and Central State Hospital in Indianapolis, among other places.

We want to thank Todd and Jay for their fascinating presentation. Thanks also to the many Owen County residents who attended this program, shared our cider and cookies, and made the program a big success!
